Décès du professeur Yuan-Cheng Fung (1919-2019)
Au début, c'est l'auteur en 1955 d'une sorte de bible pour mécanicien en bonne place sur le bureau du doctorant, puis il devient le "père de la bio-ingénierie" - il est l'un des fondateurs du Journal of Biomechanical Engineering - dès 1958 (parce qu'on connaissait mieux les avions que son propre corps comme il l'a constaté après le glaucome de sa mère et plus tard l'hypertension de sa femme). puis suivra en 1981 au moins la loi exponentielle de Fung pour décrire le comportement des tissus mous dits Fung-élastique, utilisé en particulier dans les simulations de crash.
1919 : naissance de Yuan-Cheng Bertram le 15 septembre à Changzou. Fils de Chung-Kwang, enseignant et Lien-Hu. Il a un frère et 5 soeurs.
